GIS is a powerful tool for examing research questions with spatial elements. Whether it's locating species of trees in a forest; historical events; significant character movements; features in the landscapes GIS can help researchers examine patterns and relationships, make predictions, and present powerful arguments. This session is designed to help researchers understand when and how to apply GIS to a research project. We will utilize ArcGIS Online as well as introduce ArcGIS desktop.
